Dominic Quin-Harkin, was born and raised in San Rafael, CA
and always had a penchant for Jazz music, being influenced
by old records: Duke Elington, Fats Waller, Benny Goodwin,
and Frank Sinatra. He received his vocal and acting
training in New York, and has been a performer for 7 years,
mainly as a musical theater actor all over the country at
various regional theaters. Favorite Roles include King
Marshan in "Victor/Victoria", Sir Evelyn Oakliegh in
"Anything Goes", Lysander in "Midsumer Night's Dream", Orin
Scrivello, DDS. in "Little Shop of Horrors", and Man 2 in
"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change".
Having moved out to Salt Lake in 2005, he had the
opportunity to play Frank Sinatra in "The Rat Pack
Remembered", which ran for 9 months. Singing as the famous
crooner struck a chord in him:
"I would have older couples come up to me in tears thanking
me for bringing back to life what they got to experience
first hand in the 60's. After having music have that effect
on people, I can't think of doing anything else... they've
heard me as Frank now. I just can't wait for people to hear
me sing in MY OWN VOICE, without having to be anyone else
but myself."
Dominic thanks his parents, family and friends, for support
has always been there.
